YouTube A Great Hit In America, TV To Phase Out!
A recent study has shown that Americans are silently switching to YouTube leaving TV shows at back foot. Following their survey, the Harris Interactive has come out with the data that serious YouTube viewers in America have increased by 13% in March this year from the previous month taking the figures of such viewers to about 11.5 billion.
Increase in YouTube’s traffic clearly shows people’s less attachment with the TV shows. After unveiling YouTube, people got a seamless opportunity to play with their interactive entertainment requirements. If the present trend continues, the days are not much ahead when people will not find a suitable place to position TV’s in their houses. In view of YouTube’s survival challenge to TV, a great revolution may take place in near future on the way we define entertainment and deliver it.
YouTube, a high-end web platform to allow you to navigate seamlessly through the rivers of videos, was conceptualized and designed by three former employees of Paypal in 2005. In November 2006, Google acquired the YouTube against a payment of about $1.65 billion; and since then, accessing Internet videos has become a click choice! Recently, a localized version of YouTube was launched in India allowing more freedom of video accessing to the enthusiastic Indian netizens and thereby posing a great threat for Indian TV’s too!
Even before arrival of YouTube, Internet was growing rapidly to phase out TV in terms of delivering news, advertisements, and other knowledge based socio-economic issues. But, in post YouTube scenario, less people are showing interest switching to TV leaving YouTube, the study said. According to the study, as high as 32% Americans have addicted to YouTube and started watching TV less in order to stay in the tube more.
I never knew world population has crossed 11 billion
