The Rajasthan Royals defeated the Bangalore Royal Challengers in the 39th IPL match.

Having won the toss the Bangalore Royal Challengers decided to field first.

The Rajasthan Royals made the most of this decision and opened with a huge 109 runs stand between the openers. Asnodkar made 50 in 44 balls. GC Smith remained not out with 75 of 49 balls and SR Watson showed fine form and remained not out at 46 in 28 balls. The Rajasthan Royals piled up a huge total of 197.

With a big target of 198 made a dismal beginning and lost three wickets before making five runs. Only person who stood the challenge was Rahul Dravid who was unbeaten at 75 in 36 balls. The Bangalore Royal Challengers could manage only 132 runs in twenty overs and lost the match by 65 runs.
