Sonia’s Defamer Caught With Google’s Prompt and Active Service
Showing having true leadership qualities, Google has helped Pune police to nab the Gurgaon techie who had recently posted some derogatory remarks against UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi in Orkut, a report said. On it’s part, Google has clarified that it has performed to meet the Indian penal requirements. All legal values and social ethos have been taken into consideration before releasing the details to police.
On receiving a complain from Mr. Amol Bhokare, Pune’s Deccan Gymkhana police swung into action and soon caught Krishnakumar Vaid (22) from Gurgaon on charges of posting objectionable remarks in Orkut about congress president Sonia Gandhi. According to the complain Mr. Vaid, an employee of PC solutions of Gurgaon, had posted “I hate Sonia Gandhi” in the website. After getting details of IP address of the IT Pro from Google, police charged him under section 67 of the IT Act and section 292 of the IPC. Vaid is now on police custody till May 21.
Google’s social networking site, Orkut, had irked Maharashtrian police severely last year when a large numbers of Pune students found socializing in a drug party communicating through Orkut. Even otherwise, working philosophy of Orkut has been questioned from time to time by different quarters of Indian community. The recent issue of posting defamatory remarks against any public figure may evoke fresh criticisms for Orkut.
