‘Mere Baap, Pehle Aap’, a rib tickling comedy from Priyadarshan will hit theatres on Friday the 13th of June.

Strangely, 13 is a lucky number for director Priyadarshan. “Priyan feels the number 13 is lucky for him, hence we decided to release ‘Mere Baap, Pehle Aap’ on June 13,”said Mansi Maroo of Shemaroo which is producing the movie.

Fresh from the success of Bhool Bhulaiyya, Priyadarshan is back with a comedy, telling the tale of a son-father relationship in which the son rules over the father’s life and even is embroiled in arranging a marriage for his widower father.

In his effort to get his father married he meets with his ladylove played by Genelia D’ Sauza. The story traces how son and father get to marry their respective brides while charting through confusions and mishaps galore.

With Akshaye Khanna staring as the son and Paresh Rawal as the father , things are bound to get hilarious. Giving them comic support are Manoj Joshi and Om Puri.

This is a complete role reversal for father –son relationship. For Akshay Khanna it is a total change for his previous role in Gandhi- my Father which was a serious film.
