In one of the closest encounters in the IPL, Kings XI Punjab beat the Mumbai Indians by one run in the 45th IPL match.

Having won the toss the Mumbai Indians put in Kings XI Punjab to bat first. Although Kings XI Punjab lost their first wicket at 1, SE Marsh and LA Pomersbach made a solid 133 runs partnership for the second wicket and put up an impressive total of 189.

Mumbai Indians lost Jayasuriya in the run chase at 36. But Tendulkar scored 65 in 46 balls and almost brought his team to victory. Yet they lost the match by one run after having six of their players Run out. Kings XI Punjab won the match by one run.
