Nasik.  Honouring the commitment made by the Hon Railway Minister Shri Lalu Prassad Yadav Mumbai Aurangabad Janashatabdhi Express was flagged of from Chatrapati Shivaji terminu in Mumbai today.  While Mumbai and Manmad are well connected by train from Nasik commuters to Aurangabad, an important city, have had a long outstanding demand for a direct train.  The commitment made during the presentation of the Annual Railway Budget was fulfilled today.

  Minister of State for Railways Shri Narayan Rathwa flagged of the train from Mumbai.  Ironically the train suffered an engine failure at Igatpuri on the first day itself.  However the minor delay was overcome and the journey of the train continued.  The new train augers well for the commuters of the region.  It is also expected that direct train services between Nasik and Pune via Panvel will commence within a few weeks.
