Ace filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is making a movie on the sensational real life case of the murder of Neeraj Grover in Mumbai.

Neeraj Grover was creative head of Synergy Adlabs and was allegedly killed by actress Maria Monica Susayraj and her boyfriend Naval officer Lt M L Jerome Mathew

The film, Bhatt says, will explore the collapse of value system in the country through the eyes of a police officer who cracks the murder mystery.

Bhatt and his script-writer Shagufta Rafique have already met Mumbai’s Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria, who cracked the case, for inputs on the sensational killing of Neeraj Grover, apparently a fallout of a love triangle.

“We hope to explore this narrative through the point-of-view of the super cop who is a very compassionate human being. A man who is immersed in the value system that his ancestors brought him up on and what his response is to this bizarre event,” says Mahesh Bhatt.

‘We are neither trying to sensationalize the murder nor make a documentary out of it. The film will explore the reasons as to what led to this tragic end of three young, educated people,” Rafique said

“The film is an extension of my last film, Jannat. It is the story of young India, which is ready to cross the laxman rekha of all values to get what they want,” according to Mahesh Bhatt..
