The first Semi Finals proved to be the most one sided match in the IPL league thus far. Rajasthan Royals continued their fine run to defeat Delhi Daredevils by a huge 105 runs.

Delhi Daredevils won the toss and choose to field. This proved to be a wrong decision. The openers of Rajasthan Royals raced to a super quick start. Asnodkar thrashed 39 of 21 balls and GC Smith made 25 of 21 balls. When Delhi Daredevils got two quick wickets to dismiss the openers the score was 65. Sohail Tanvir fell at 76. The match appeared to be swinging towards the Delhi Daredevils at this stage. But a super 52 by SR Watson in 29 balls and a towering 45 in 21 balls by YK Pathan saw Rajasthan Royals post a massive total of 192.

When Delhi Daredevils opened, it was quite evident that the openers had to have a big stand. But their fall began with the wicket of Virender Sehwag when the score was 10. Except for a feeble fight by Dilshan, 33 of 22 balls, Delhi Daredevils fell like a pack of cards. SR Watson got magical figures of 3 wickets in 10 balls. Patel claimed 3 wickets in 17 balls. The Delhi Daredevils innings folded out at 87 in 16.1 overs.

SR Watson was the Man of the Match. It was indeed a very convincing performance by the Rajasthan Royals.
