Sarkar Raj, or Sarkar 2 is out and not everyone is happy with it. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan appears for the first time in a movie together and the sequel to Ram Gopal Verma ’s Sarkar opened to great expectations. While some critics found the movie a great sequel, others complained that it was slow and too much talk.

Rediff says: Unfortunately, replacing character sketches with extreme, extreme close ups doesn’t work all the time, and this film, for the most part, falls very flat, a well-lit and overdone follow-up to an overrated original. The acting is fine, but this is eventually a film without enough meat to sustain itself through to the end, culminating in an inevitably stifled whimper.

But Sify rated it with 4 stars : “Sarkar Raj supersedes the prequel and most importantly, RGV bounces back like never before. If you felt Shiva and later Satya were his finest efforts, you’ve got to watch Sarkar Raj. An outstanding film in all respects, this film has all it takes to emerge a major success story at the box-office? and a landmark film in everyone’s careers.”

Masand however thought it was on the slower side. On CNN IBN, Masand writes : “Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar Raj is a gabfest. There’s really no other way to describe this film . it’s all talk and very little action. And excessive talk seldom makes for exciting viewing. Intended no doubt to be an intense political drama, Sarkar Raj is sadly not a patch on Varma’s original film Sarkar, of which this one is nothing but a watered down sequel. Slow. ”

So if you liked Sarkar, well this is in the same lines, but this one is a thriller ! So all Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan fans, lets hear from you. Big B fans loved Sarkar and Abhishek Bachchan thrilled us with his performance in Sarkar. Definitely worth a watch, and worth reviewing.
