Gautam Gambhir powers India to victory
India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in their league match to set up an India-Pakistan final in the Kitply Cup in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh won the toss and choose to bat first. The highlight of the Bangladesh batting was 89 by Raqibul Hasan. Mohammad Ashraful scored 36. Bangladesh put up a modest total of 222. The major wicket takers for India were RP Singh and Irfan Pathan with 3 and 2 wickets each.
India made a thunderous opening with Virender Sehwag going great guns. He made 59 in 46 balls. The hero of the day was the second opener Gautam Gambhir who remained unbeaten at 107. RG Sharma and Yuvraj Singh made 26 each. India reached the target with 14.5 overs to spare. Gautam Gambhir was the Man of the Match.
