Oprah Winfrey has been named as the world’s most powerful celebrity by Forbes magazine..

The TV talk show queen topped the annual Forbes magazine’s Celebrity 100 list second year in a row.

Winfrey retained the ranking based on her pretax income of $275 million over the past 12 months. That’s in addition to other factors, including Google hits, press clippings, TV/radio mentions and the number of times a celeb graces the cover of the tabs, the magazine stated on its website.

This is despite seeing viewership of The Oprah Winfrey Show dip by 7 percent this year and circulation of her namesake magazine falling by 10 percent

The 54-year-old talk-show host was certainly aided by plans for her to debut the Oprah Winfrey Network in partnership with Discovery Communications next year, along with a three-year $55 million deal she signed with XM Satellite Radio

Ace golfer Tiger Woods came in second with $115 million.

Actress Angelina Jolie is third on the new list, while singer Beyonce Knowles ranks fourth and soccer stud David Beckham rounds out the top five - entering the list for the first time.

The Forbes list is designed to reflect the influence of a celebrity in any one year. It looks at how much a celebrity is paid, and how much press, internet and TV coverage they get.

While ‘Harry Potter’ author J.K. Rowling only made it to number nine, she ranked as number one in the highest earners list. The rest of the Celebrity 100 list is compiled of Johnny Depp, The Police, Jay-Z and Brad Pitt.

Just missing the top 10 were Hancock star Will Smith, singer Justin Timberlake and Indiana Jones director Steven Spielberg.

Major stars to drop out of the prestigious list include double Oscar-winner Tom Hanks, new mom Jessica Alba and superstar singer Elton John, who was last year’s number seven.
