Sunjay Dutt who was in Bahamas shooting for a new movie, Blue, spent six special days bonding with his daughter Trishala. His wife of four months, Manyata also joined them.

According to an interview given to People magazine- newly launched in India, the father –daughter duo had a good time.

“You remind me of my youth. I love you beta,” Sanjay told his daughter, when she rushed into his arms in the Bahamas.

Trishala spent some time alone with her dad during which he asked about her college work and showed great interest in the projects she was working on. Trishala, on her part, went all out to shower her dad with affection.

Trishala is the daughter of the late actress Richa Sharma, Sanjay’s first wife. Richa died of cancer on December 10, 1996 and Trishala has always lived with her aunt (mother’s sister Enna) and her grandparents in Bayside, Queens, New York.

In Bahamas, she also bonded with her new mother. According to what Trishala told to People Magazine she spent a significant amount of time with both Sanjay and Manyata. Since Sanjay Dutt was shooting, she went out with Manyata for shopping and they also went to a Dolphin park together and had a good time,” said Sandipan Dalal, Principal Correspondent, People Magazine.

So, how did the six-day bonding exercise end? Especially since Trishala wasn’t quite happy with the new lady in her dad’s life.

Replying to a question on her relationship with Manyata, Trishala said ,”So far so good.”
“He seems to be happy and if he is happy, then I’m happy for him. If he found what he needs in her (Manyata), then that’s great,” said Trishala soon after spending some time with her dad.

When asked about what she and her father spoke during their meeting in Bahamas, Trishala said, “He is proud of me for choosing criminal psychology.

The teenager, who is a second year student at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, has also expressed a desire to join films but she has yet to speak to her dad about her movie plans.
