According to the grapevine, the promos of the movie, God Tussi Great Ho were withdrawn at the behest of lead actor Salman Khan.

Apparently, the promos, which aired last week, did not find favor with Salman. Hence the director is coming out with a new set of promos next week.

According to Mumbai Mirror, the representative for Eros International maintained, “The new promos of the film will be going on air from Wednesday.” But director of the movie, Rumy Jaffrey has denied the allegations. Rumy said, “Salman Khan is the last person to interfere with the director’s work. The promos that we ran last week were meant to give a feel of the film. We plan to start our new promotion very shortly, which will also include the music of the film.”

The producer Afzal Khan also insists that the earlier promos were withdrawn due to some technical hitch and it was not connected to Salman in any way. Jaffrey also denied that the film is a remake of Jim Carrey starrer Bruce Almighty. He said, “Just because Amitabh Bachchan’s in the role of the Almighty is dressed in a white suit, it doesn’t mean that the film is a copy of Bruce Almighty. One will know how different it is only after watching the film.”

God Tussi Great Ho, which has been in the making for three years, was delayed due to a various reasons. First, Salman was arrested in the blackbuck case after which the dates of the main actors including Sallu, Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra did not match. But the producer and director insist that the movie will definitely release on August 15, come what may.
