No Mobiles in School – Kerala Government
The spread of the internet and mobile culture is bringing in vices too. The mobile phone has increasing become a play toy for the children. As long as it is being used for play only it is still okay. However certain dangerous means for which the gadgets were being used have come to light in the recent past.
The mobile phone has become a dangerous diversion for children during their school time. The Delhi Public School MMS case was a classic example where porn messages were initiated and circulated by school children. Besides playing games and exchanging messages the children have been found to even indulge in cyber crimes.
This has lead to an adverse reaction from the teachers as well. In one instance a girl was supposedly stripped in the class room by her teachers to check if she was carrying a mobile phone on her person. To keep this menace under check the Kerala government has banned the use of mobile phones in Schools. Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have already enforced such a ban.
