The no confidence motion on 22 Jul 2008 has spawned hectic political activity in the country. Each and every vote counts and the UPA is trying its best to ensure that it gets the majority. The absence of any MPs is going to prove very costly.

MP Shri Harishchandra Chavan is admitted in the hospital after he fractured his foot in an accident. His hospital admission has started a huge political debate. His presence or lack of it in the parliament may make a difference to the UPA government.

However the MP has left the decision to the doctors. He has said that till such time the doctors do not clear his move, he will remain in the hospital. Everyone has assumed a wait and watch strategy.
