Bollywood’s ace director Madhur Bhandarkar unveiled in Mumbai, the first excerpts of his forthcoming film Fashion that delves into the Fashion world.

Madhur Bhandarkar has an impeccable record having won three National awards. Starting from Chandni Bar in 2001, followed by Page 3 and Traffic Signal this year. have fetched him the coveted National Awards. He has also made striking off beat films like Satta and Corporate. Each of his movies examines the harsh realities of a social set up whether be it the corporate world or the Prostitution racket. Now with Fashion, he examines the under bellies of the Fashion world.

Madhur says Fashion is his most expensive movie so far. Talking to reporters here on Wednesday to unveil the first look of the film, Madhur said the budget of “Fashion” combines the expenditure incurred for his films from “Chandni Bar” to “Traffic Signal”. Fashion stars Mugdha Godse, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut, Arbaaz Khan, Manish Malhotra and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

Speaking on why he chose this subject for his film Madhur Bhandarkar said, “Fashion is given so much importance by the media these days be it print media or electronic media. Common man must be wondering from where these models come. The common man generally enjoys glamour associated with the fashion but is unaware of the backstage moments. I conceptualized this film from a common man’s point of view and at this point I thought that I could make a film on fashion.”

Priyanka Chopra plays the character of Megha Mathur in this film. She comes from a small town of Chandigarh to Mumbai to become a supermodel. The movie depicts her travails. The film ”Fashion” is slated for release on November 14.
