Shilpa Shetty to host Big Boss
Actress Shilpa Shetty of reality show Big Brother fame, is all set to host the second season of its Indian version, Big Boss on new entertainment channel Colors in the near future.
According to reports, the second season of ‘Big Boss’ will go on air sometime in August and will run for three months, with one episode for each day. The show will debut once the Akshay Kumar-hosted ‘Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi’ goes off air.
Shilpa, who became a hot favorite in Britain after her Big Brother win, has replaced Arshad Warsi. According to a source, “Shilpa has been signed on for a whopping Rs 8 crore by the production house. She is the first celeb to be finalized on the show while the participants are yet to be finalized.”
Shilpa Shetty had achieved global popularity by winning the British version of the show Big Brother, having endured racial discrimination with great dignity and poise. Thus she was the natural choice for the Indian show. But Shilpa took some time to give her consent due to the racial discrimination issue. After much thought, she has given her nod to the show
Big Boss is ready to start on Colors. Confirming the news, Rajesh Kamat, CEO of Colors, said, “Yes, Big Boss – Season 2 is going to air on Colors.” However, he refused to comment on Shilpa Shetty being signed on as the host.
