Nashik. The police of Nashik have apprehended a gang of four persons in a fake currency racket. They had received intelligence reports regarding the presence of the gang in Manmad. They were offering double currency notes for genuine currency.

Based on the intelligence reports the police raided a hotel in Manmad where the gang was staying. They recovered a red colored bag containing 193 fake notes of Rs 100 denomination. They also recovered some Rs 500 notes. However it could not be known if they were fake.

The police apprehended the four people. Two belong to Andhra Pradesh. The others are from Gujarat and Rajasthan. They also recovered a Tata Indica Car No AP 15K 3993 and mobile phones from the suspects.
