Ishmeet Singh’s death is by drowning: family still suspects foul play
The post mortem conducted on acclaimed young singer Ishmeet Singh has revealed that he died of asphyxiation- a case of drowning. This has not been received well by his grieving relatives who suspect some foul play.
The death of Ishmeet was simply a case of drowning, said Harvinder Singh, Senior Medical Officer of the Ludhiana Civil Hospital where the post-mortem on the singer was conducted
The post-mortem was conducted by a team of three doctors of the Civil Hospital following a request from the bereaved family, the Senior Medical Officer said.
Answering a question on injury on Ishmeet’s head, he said it was a minor abrasion which could have been caused when he must have hit the floor of the swimming pool. But, this abrasion could not be the cause of his death, the doctor said. It was more likely a simple case of drowning, he said.
But the bereaved family is hard to convince. One of his uncles related the incident prior to his death in which Ishmeet ‘s car was targeted by another vehicle while traveling from Mumbai to Pune. They suspect that Ishmeet was first attacked physically and then he drowned in the pool. Ishmeet’s father Gurprinder Singh Sodhi, still grappling with the grievous loss that has befallen his family, also thinks Ishmeet’s death is unnatural.
“There was no reason for him to die like this…I suspect foul play,” he says.
Assistant Manager of the Chaaya Island Dhonveli resort Marlon Robert refused to comment on the conspiracy theories surrounding Ishmeet’s death.
According to him: “I cannot say anything about the family’s allegations of foul play. The Male police are investigating the matter and if something wrong happened, it will come out.”

there is a foul play .so far no proper reason for his death has been given .where were security guards at that time some says that his friends heard him screaming but why didn’t they come for his help .it is not possible that he would go for swimming when he didn’t know it .first the hotel manager come up with some cooked story that he dived into pool and got hurt on his dead.please tell us the truth we are raising our voices against it.

I am based in Pakistan and am so greaved about Ishmeets Death. I lost my brother who was his age and can imagine what the family is going through at the moment. I totally agree that thorough investigation has to take place and the person who is responsible should be punished for the grief caused to the family. I cant get him out of my mind and have been thinking about this issue since it happened.

well yaar. jo hona tha ho gaya.. ishmeet rahe nahi ab… i pray for his soul rest in peace.. n i pray God unki family ko himmat de.. haa waise question to hai ki yeh ek accident tha n kiya karaya tha… sawal yeh utha hai ki.. swimming pool usko wo injuries kaise lag sakti hai.. its nt possible… aisa ho sakta hai.. ki usko shayad phele kisi rod se maara ho.. n usko paani me fek diya ho… n obv paani me rehkar body me paani bharna tha.. wo post mortem report me aaya hai.. isse search kar na chahiye .. well agar yeh kisine kiya hai.. dat person gonna pay it.. lena dena yahi hota hai.. jo kiya hai usse bharna padta hai..

i still cnt come to terms with the fact ishmeet is dead its such a horrible thing to happen he was nt only a good singer but a even better person may god give him peace and help his family at such a tragic time my prayers are with ishmeets family this was a huge loss

If you fall into the deep end of a pool, your head can never hit the bottom. Divers would never dive straight down if their head hit the pool. You tend to struggle if you fall into a pool. Where did the injury on his head come from?

He was a great soul. He looked like a holy spirit from his out look, smile, tears and from his kind heart. Allah bless him heaven. Indeed he was very near to God.

Tragic. Words can’t describe how one feels. He was touched by god. They say the good ones go to god early. May god give your family and friends the strength.

Where were Ishmeet’s friends at the funeral?’ Was the absence of friends and colleagues only to avoid the exposure of as to what extent the destructive jealousy factor obviously running against Ishmeet Singh for causing his death? Where were Ishmeet’s friends at the funeral?’ The destructive jealousy factor might be one of the reasons of the planned and created circumstances leading to the death of Ishmeet Singh can not be ruled out so lightly. We should not forget that an innocent child could be used in such planned and created circumstances, knowing very well that so and so would surely behave in the fashion under the circumstances which are always meant for his death and so on under the different similar cases of conspiracy. Moreover, the colleagues of Ishmeet in the interview on the day were looking suspicious and tutored judging by their body language, face culture and they only said in the interview whatever they might be tutored to say legally. Mika rightly said, “Only Abhijeet dada and Hans Raj Hans were present at the funeral. Where were Ishmeet’s friends and colleagues from various shows? Was the absence of friends and colleagues only to avoid the exposure of as to what extent the destructive jealousy factor obviously running against Ishmeet Singh for causing his death used for interview in the manner as a cover up or only their absence for the security reasons would be the pet reply suiting under the circumstances? Mika’s query is not without substance as he understands fully the dangerous aspect of destructive jealousy factor in music industry as well. The independent high level inquiry would be the only answer to set all speculations in right perspective at least in order to take preventive measures for the safety of the future blossoming stars of any field like him. Earlier reaction: Ishmeet’s untimely death is very shocking and sad news for all noble hearts. “I have some big projects lined up. And I am happy that God has put me on right path. Soon I will take a big leap and go high.” Said Ishmeet Singh talking to TOI at Chandigarh never knew that what is big leap and high in store for him? Here we are helpless and have to surrender to HIS wishes as who can chant (God’s) knowledge whose study is arduous. The demand of an inquiry into the drowning accident as to know what were the circumstances leading to his death took place so suddenly and carelessly is genuine at least in order to take preventive measures for the future blossoming stars of any field like him. Such an inquiry is a need of hour along with praying that God bless his soul. our kind hearted greatest upcoming singer Ishmeet singh is snatched away from us by a killer whoever plannned his murder. and it is almost 20 days since he is killed and still we dont even know if anyone has carried out investigation of his murder or not? we and his parents would like to know if anyone is doing something about fining the truth behind ishmeet singhs death please i request all the higher authorities and prime minister and criminal investigators branch to investigate the truth about ishmeet singhs murder just think if it was your son who had been dead under such tragedy wouldnt you all do something ? even ishmeet singhs parents and we all fans need to know the truth about his murder and the killer should be punished severely so that no other ishmeet can taken away from us untimely crying for them. if all of you higher authorities have akind heart please do something instead of just saying few words of comfort on his death and then sitting
