Nashik. All the prayers of the citizens of Nashik seem to have been answered by the rain gods. The district has been experiencing good rainfall in the last few days. The catchment areas of Gangapur dam have received good rainfall. This has led to a general improvement in the water levels.

The Municipal Corporation has already announced a 25 percent cut in water supply. They had also announced that the cut will be increased to 50 per cent after 1st August if the situation does not improve.

After the recent rainfall some respite is in the offing. The Corporation has declared that the cut will not be increased to 50 percent. Rainfall is likely to improve in the days ahead. The situation will be reviewed after 15th August.
