Samsung added another stylish touchscreen phone to its armoury of handsets. The F 480, a high tech touchscreen phone that has Olympics 2008 as its theme was launched by Samsung.

The F 480 has attractive features like the widgets which can be used to drag and drop features on the home screen. The user can configure hotkeys for all desired functions. It has a powerful 5 megapixel camera that sports the Auto Smile Shoot facility which is designed to capture photographs when people smile. The camera has high end features like face detection, image stabilizer, Wide Dynaminc Range and CMOS Video.

The connectivity includes GPRS, EDGE, 3G and HSPDA networks with GSM and WCDMA features to access the Internet. It has a large 2.8 inch TFT LCD display and 240 MB of internal memory that can be expanded to 8 GB.

During the launch of the handset Mr. Sunil Dutt, Country Head, Samsung Telecommunications India said, “Given the growing consumer interest in touch screen phones , the Samsung TouchWIZ offers a brilliant full touch navigation experience ; widgets with ‘Drag and Drop’ technology and User Interface with Haptic Feedback which makes the experience of using the phone highly interactive and easy. The TouchWIZ strengthens Samsung’s lineage in touch UI with the already existing portfolio of I780 & I710, the Giorgio Armani P520 and Soul.”

The F 480 will be available for Rs 20,990 in the Indian Markets.
