Now matrimony on your mobile by Vodafone
Vodafone and Shaadi.com, the famous matrimony portal, have tied up to utilize mobile phone services for matrimony. In a first of its kinds both the companies announced regarding the tie up in Mumbai.
Mr Harit Nagpal, Director – Marketing and New Business, Vodafone explained that only 4 percent of Indian population accessed the web. However with mobile phones almost 25 percent will be able to access the service.
The service can be activated by sending an SMS to 57007 or on “Vodafone live.” Using VAP, text messaging or Voice the users can log in into Shaadi.com. Vodafone is charging Rs 3 per SMS and Rs 6 per call for the service.
Mr Anupam Mittal, CMD, People Group, said, “Shaadi.com has always believed in innovating and bringing the latest technology to our customers by enabling them to enjoy our services in a way that is convenient to them. With the alliance with Vodafone – the premium telecom service provider, Shaadi.com has created the concept of ‘Matrimony on the Move’, thereby making matchmaking service accessible to millions of people. Earlier we had a presence on online, offline DTH and now post this alliance with Vodafone; Shaadi.com will be available on the mobile platform as well, making us the only player providing 360 degrees matrimony services.”
