Nashik. The India Security Press is one of the most important institutions in Nashik. The press has a sizable population of employees. Nashik Road is predominant with these employees.

The Centre had mooted a proposal almost two years earlier to convert the press into an independent corporation. This proposal has been running into rough weather quite frequently.

It was discussed in a conference in the Ministry of Finance recently. However it is learned that there was no consensus in the meeting. The issue of setting up a corporation remains as vexed as earlier.
