Religious tourism is proving to be a big boon to Nashik. The city is one of the important religious centers in Maharashtra. Nashik is used as a base by devotees to visit Trimbakeshwar and Shirdi.

The Guardian Minister, Mr Chaggan Bhujbal inaugurated the Tourism Expo 2008. The function was organized by the Travel Agents Association of Nashik. While speaking at the Indraprastha Hall on the occasion the Minister said that religious tourism was the main stay of Nashik.

Tourism was a source for job generations. The Tour Operators and Guides need to do their jobs diligently. The Hotel Industry has also got a lot of business from tourism. Young and dynamic people are required to be employed in this field. Many other prominent personalities were present on the occasion.
