Aligarh Muslim University signs MOU with seven US Universities
The Aligarh Muslim University is taking up a massive drive to upgrade its infrastructure, library and research facilities. It is learned that the University has tied up with seven US universities to upgrade its infrastructure.
“The academic standard of AMU is showing an upward trend and plans are underway to upgrade research, library facilities and infrastructure of the university,” said AMU Vice-Chancellor Professor P K Abdul Azis during a gathering of members of Aligarh Alumni Association (AAA) of Metropolitan Washington.
The Vice Chancellor was given a roaring welcome in the US. A large number of members of the Aligarh Alumni Association – AAA were present at a dinner hosted in honor of the visiting professor at Washington. The Indian embassy was represented by Mr Alok Pandey.
The Professor is known to have visited the George Washington University Law School and Johns Hopkins University’s Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. He also had detailed discussions with Ambassador Raminder S. Jassal, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India in Washington.
