The month of Sravan as per Hindu calendar is the most sacred month of the year. Many important festivals fall in this month. There is a special significance of the Mondays and Fridays falling during this month.

The third Monday of the month is the most auspicious day for visitors to the Trimbakeshwar temple. The district administration is fully geared up to take on the festival rush during this season. 258 additional buses have been arranged from all over the city. An effort has been made to provide buses from all the important residential areas of Nashik.

Additional traffic measures have been taken at Trimbakeshwar as well as in the CBS area of Nashik. The police have also intensified patrolling at night. In view of the heightened terrorist threat the police do not want to take any chances.
