The Satpur Ambad belt of Nashik is well known as the industrial heart of the city. However due to industrial slowdown and uncertainty over the migrant issue the once prosperous area has been facing a severe slowdown.

A number of small industries have been shut down in the last three years. The small industries employed about 3000 workers. Without employment opportunities the workers and their families are facing a rough time.

The state government had announced an allowance of Rs 1500 per month to the displaced employees. However this allowance has been received by only a few workers in Jalgaon. Hurdles against the grant of this allowance need to be removed earnestly.
