Britain’s Prince William may soon be crowned king, if tabloids are to be believed.

He is being groomed to become the next British Monarch under an ‘arrangement’ that may see the first-in-line Prince Charles stepping aside.

Prince Charles has spent his life as just King in waiting as his mother Queen Elizabeth II still reigns. The arrangement has been prompted by Prince Charles‘ 60th birthday in November when he will officially become the king. Charles who will the oldest-ever heir to the throne, it is believed doesn’t want to impose the ordeal of a life spent in waiting.
According to royal courtiers, 26-year-old Prince William, who will make his girlfriend Kate Middleton his Queen, is the only hope for the survival of the monarchy past another generation.
William is now on a tour of military and Government departments in preparation. He has been invited to contribute to the Royal Family’s own steering committee, the Way Ahead group, and is also being introduced to the Chequers Committee which controls the sovereign’s estates.
And William will now undertake higher profile engagements, some with the 82-year-old Queen — she calls it “letting him share in my sunlight”.
It may be mentioned that a survey last year revealed that more than half of Britons favored Prince William taking the throne even though his father Prince Charles is ahead of him in the pecking order
