Kevin Rose,the site architect for Digg and co-founder of Pownce supposedly proclaimed that the entire ipod line of Apple will go through some transformation in terms of designs and updates. Rose claimed that the new iPod Nano would be way thinner and longer than the current version and it will come with a larger screen. Besides, the new nano would also feature a rounded, cylindrical casing.

Reportedly, it is similar to a design described in an Apple patent application from 2006. The filing proposed a device that was encased in a ceramic tube casing that was capable of allowing the transmission of Wi-Fi signals.

Kevin Rose further predicted about an updated version of iTunes along with a decrease in prices on the entire iPod line. According to him, this willl be officially announced on September 9. It still remains to be seen whether Apple really comes up with those changes in its products in September.
