Mobile companies vie against each other for the top slot in the Indian market
The mobile users are having a hard time choosing the right phone for them as big companies like Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, HTC, LG as well as Apple are providing them so many state of the art gadgets. Following the launch of Apple 3G iphone, other companies like Samsung, LG and Nokia announced to launch cheaper touchscreen phones since the Apple 3G phone didn’t score with the indian public because of its exorbitant price.
Nokia supposedly has lined up a number of devices to be launched shortly. The company already rolled out 20 new models in the first half of the year. Samsung is planning a big leap from 7.5 per cent to 15 percent share in the mobile devices market. It has high hopes for Samsung OMNIA (SGH-i900) which incorporates features like touchscreen, and GPS.
LG , which reportedly owns a 3 per cent market share in India, is said to have recorded a increase in its revenues from the sale of its Dynamite series and its high end camera phone, Viewty. With so many company’s vying against each other for the top slot in Indian market, it’s difficult to guess which mobile company will outdo others.
