Ranbir Kapoor on a roll
With the good opening of ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, star Ranbir Kapoor is on a high.
He is happy that his hand at comedy has been appreciated. He has always found comedy, difficult. He says,” I have always loved comedy, but I wasn’t too sure whether I would be good at it,”
Ranbir Kapoor continues the legacy of his distinguished family, the Kapoors in which his grandfather Raj Kapoor and father Rishi Kapoor were Romantic comedy icons of their times.
Ranbir Kapoor had a tough run as his debut movie ‘Saawariya’ bombed at the box office in 2007 and he had all his hopes pinned on Bachna Ae Haseeno, his second release which has thankfully made its mark.
‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, which opened in cinemas in Aug. 15, is a comedy featuring Ranbir Kapoor as a commitment-phobic Casanova who gets a taste of his own medicine.
“It’s really difficult to do comedy, but I really enjoyed it, especially on the sets … because the atmosphere was such,” the 25-year-old actor said.”(It) was written so funnily that it wasn’t too difficult to pull those scenes off.”
Now the actor is a busy man with projects with filmmakers Raj Kumar Santoshi and Ayan Mukherjee in the pipeline.
