Shahrukh unveiled the name and logo of his Kolkata Cricket team in star-studded function in Kolkata. To be called as Kolkata Knight Riders and dressed in Black and gold uniform with the mascot –Hoog Lee- a royal Bengal tiger, the team is all set to rock and roll.

The team is set to play the 20-20-cricket tournament India Premier League. It is owned by Shahrukh Khan along with actor Juhi Chawla and hubby Jay Mehta.

To be lead by former Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly, the team includes Shoaib Akhtar, Ricky Ponting, Chris Gayle, David Hussey, Brendon Mccullum, Umar Gul, Tatenda Taibu, Ajit Agarkar, Ishant Sharma, Murali Kartik, Akash Chopra, Lakshmi Ratan Shukla, R Saha, Sourashish Lahiri and Rohan Bannerjee.

The team’s song ‘Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo,’ which means “We will do it, fight it and win it,” has been chosen in order to appeal to the youth of the country

‘Lot of efforts have gone into making this team, and now I am very happy to be a party to this wonderful team led by Sourav Ganguly,” Shah Rukh told reporters.

The color combination of the team’s jersey, designed by Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra, would be black and gold,” he said.

“Black is the color of goddess Kali and we aim for gold,” Shah Rukh said, adding that the kit for all the players would be sponsored by Reebok.
As the team’s theme song composed by music director Vishal and Shekhar, was played. Shahrukh the franchise owner of the team raised his hands with team captain Ganguly, coach John Buchanan and actor Juhi Chawla.
