The Khan household represents bonhomie between different religions under one roof. On Wednesday it was Ganpati pooja followed by Iftar party to break the Roza of the holy month of Ramzan
Salman Khan , the star of the show, participated in the Aarti respectfully, before finally seeing the Ganpati off till the gate. He then turned his attention to feeding the guests who had gathered because it was the iftaar time. The Khans’s kitchen prepares thalis of delicacies that are sent to orphanages and old age homes, friends and relatives’ residences and in that respect they are handsome and generous hosts..
Talking about their cosmopolitan, or secular ways, Salman said, “We all believe the faith we are brought up in, even I do, but my house also has places for all kinds of worship. That’s the beauty of human kind. Co-existing under the same roof without disturbing each other’s faith, and respecting it. God is one, our ways and the route we take to connect with Him are different. “
Did he make any special prayer to Lord Ganesh? “Nothing,” said Salman, “he has given me everything. I have the love of the people and my family. How much more greedy should I become?”
