11 Killed in Dindori Taluka in Accident
In one of the worst accidents in Nashik district 11 people lost their lives. The incident took place in Dindori Taluka. The owner of a Grape garden, five children and three women are included in those killed.
Grape gardens are labour intensive and require a lot of manual labour. Laborers from the Adivasi Colony at Chingalchond were working in the field of Vishwanath Jadhav at Sonagaon in Dindori Taluka. 10 persons were returning to their colony after work in a tractor. The driver of the tractor lost control and fell into an open well in the field.
The owner of the Grape garden, Mr Vishwanath Jadhav, was witnessing the scene. He jumped on board of the tractor as soon as he noticed that the driver had lost control. Yet he could not control the vehicle. The tractor and its trolley fell down in an open well which was 50 feet deep. A crane was requisitioned from Ozar to pull out the tractor and the trolley.
