Terror strikes Delhi : Indian Mujahideen claims responsibility
Delhi was rocked by five blasts between 6:15 PM and 7 PM. More than 20 persons have been killed and over 100 injured in the blasts. The Indian Mujahideen has reportedly taken responsibility for these blasts. An e mail was sent by the organization just minutes before the blasts.
The first blast took place in the Gaffar Market, one of the crowded markets in Karol Bagh, This was followed by two blasts in Connaught Place and two blasts in Greater Kailash M-block market.
Following the blasts the police ordered the shut down of all public places. Vulnerable and crowded places were closed down leading to massive traffic jams on the streets. Four live bombs have been found in the Connaught Place and India Gate area. It is reported that some persons have also been arrested in connection with the blasts.
Mobile networks also experienced very heavy traffic just after the blasts. Security has been beefed up in the capital. Mumbai has also been put on red alert.
