Microsoft Zune is facilitating the buying of online music through the provision of free connection with the Zune online store. Internet access provider Wayport will ensure the connection in all Mcdonald\’s store across the U.S. The Zune users reportedly can directly connect to the Zune Marketplace via Wi-Fi, and stream and download content to their Zunes.

Dan Lowden, vice president of business development and marketing for Wayport was quoted to have said, “Wayport is pleased to be working with Microsoft to make it easier for Zune users to access music on the go.” The Zune Marketplace supposedly offers 4 million songs for purchase and download. Microsoft further added a Zune Marketplace tab on the main screen of the device for easier navigation to the online music store.

The 4 GB zune will cost around $130 and the 8 GB zune will cost $150. The 16 GB, 80 GB and 120 GB zunes will cost $199, $230 and $250 respetively. The online store also offers a total of 17,500 music videos, episodes of TV shows, and audio and video podcasts.
