Aamir Khan or Shahrukh Khan : Who is the number 1 ?

The race at the box office has heated up between the two Khans, Aamir and Shahrukh. The latest report is that Aamir’s latest movie, Ghajini has left Shahrukh behind in pre-release success.

Both Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan went all out to promote their home productions last year. Though SRK seemed to have topped the box-office charts in 2007, Aamir seems all set to reign showbiz in 2008.

Aamir’s latest movie a remake of Tamil thriller Ghajini is reputed to have made a record making Rs 93 crores in pre release deals.

According to reports, the Indian Film Company has bagged the domestic distribution rights for the Aamir Khan-starrer for an estimated Rs 53 crore. While its home video rights, overseas rights and satellite rights have been sold for another Rs 40 crore : total amounts to Rs 93 crore

This deal has overtaken the record made by Shahrukh khan starrer, Om Shanti Om which had made Rs 73 crore in pre release deals.

The two Khans have just been engaged in a duel of words with Aamir calling Shahrukh number two and Shahrukh calling himself the better actor, all in a light hearted manner. But the rivalry has heated up with the fate of these two movies.

    Yes, i beleive that Amir is no 1.His films are mostly based on social issues.Those films make society to think and act accordingly to a certain extent,whereas SRK`s films are not so influential, people only go for enjoyment.People see the movie and forget.There is no message at all.SRK beleives in popularity, branding etc.

    The above is just a fact that many srk fans can not tolerate!

    AAMIR KHAN has proved to be the real KING KHAN. He doesnt use the media like SRK but yet is a much better actor.

    SRK is just media made. AAMIR KHAN is miles better..

    Why to compare Amir with Sharukh? i really cant under stand the logic behind this. Amir is very much greater than Sharukh. SRK cant even think of the talent with Amir Khan now. Sharukh is still there in the industry only because of his director friends like Farah,Karan Johar and Yash Raj films.So please dont compare.

    Aamir is miles Ahead between them.
    SRK is good but no doubt Aamir is the BEST.

    Aamir is a sensible Actor and a brilliant Film Maker whereas SRK is nothing buit a complete entertainer.

    Aamir can make any film into a blockbuster hit without trendy labeled actresses, co-stars.
    Whereas SRK always feels comfort and secured to work with some selected Camps e.g.
    Yash Chopra camp, Karan Johar camp, Farah Khan camp.

    As an actor Aamir is better-already it is proved. But as a showman SRK might.
    Ppl who loves to see only masala movies they might go for SRK.

    My verdict is- Aamir undisputedly is the Better than Shahrukh.

    here i agree with most of the peoples view , AAmir is far ahead of any body in the industry. SRk labels his films as hit, excellent through media. just think once how many films in bollywood have influenced the people , u can count then on fingers and most influenced movies are from AAMIR( lagaan, sarfarosh, mangal pandey, TZP etc..). srk is good for nothing , looks like a model than like an actor where as AAmir gives the real feel with his acting skills. AAmir is a trend setter. look at roles played by aamir all r excellent, with brilliant acting skills, it will be funny if u imagine srk in the roles of aamir. they totally diffrent from movie to movie with diffrent looks evry time.. some of frends above said srk best but they haven’t specified the reason…….bcz they don’t have the reason to say..but i have plenty of reasons to say AAMIR KHAN is the MORE THAN NUMBER 1.aAMIR IS a legend where srk is hardly a good actor……that’s it..

    Shahrukhan is one and only best no. 1 actor and hero while AAmir is also good but less with srk.     Last 15 Years his Box office pull not only in india in even abroad minted money. OSO is the biggest GROSSER (175) crore sholay 165 Crore.

    Longest movie screened - DDLJ 600 + weeks since 95 till date screened @ maratha mandir.

    Amir may make just 1 movie in two years still his box office collection maynot match with 3 different movies of srk

    CDI - 65 Crore - TZP 61 crore OSO - biggest block buster

    So who is the king ??? Only acting may not get u the tag friends you got to jingle the cash register n gonna have star power.

    TZP - opened 30% first week with LESS print. OSO opened with 700+ print 95-100% now thats power.
