Mahindra and Mahindra hit the headlines for launching an automatic edition of their brand SUV ‘Scorpio‘. The new car comes with a fully automatic 6-speed gear box and is powered by a 2.2 liter mHawk engine that gives smoother drive and better fuel efficiency.

Scorpio supposedly would be the first Indian brand ‘SUV‘ that offers fully automatic transmission. Mr Ashish Malik, the General Manager of marketing segment of Mahindra and Mahindra reportedly informed that the automatic transmission version of Scorpio would come in VLS and VLX variants and will sell for Rs 10.38 lakh onwards.

The car boasts of in-built intelligent driving modes that would ensure greater vehicle control in perilous driving conditions. The Mahindra and Mahindra officials stated that the production of the newer version of Scorpio has started at the Nashik plant last week. The company is expecting a great hike in their turnover from the sale of new Scorpio.
