The posters of Subhash Ghai’s latest pic , Yuvvraaj plastered all over Mumbai features only Katrina Kaif prominently. Lead actor Salman Khan is ignored.

Apparently this is a new marketing strategy. Says a source, “In a first-of-its-kind marketing strategy, an actress has been given precedence over the male lead in the first publicity poster. This speaks volumes of the heights that Katrina has reached as an actress. It’s apparent her producer-director Subhash Ghai is sending out the message that Katrina carries more weight at the BO than a star like Salman Khan.”

However, Subhash Ghai says, “It’s entirely a marketing strategy; like at our Yuvvraaj music release event you only found the music director A R Rahman, lyricist Gulzar and the director. So displaying Katrina solo on the first hoarding symbolizes as ‘music begins’ because she’s playing the lead musician in this musical family drama. It’s our way of telling the story to the people. We all know that Salman is the lead star.”

Katrina Kaif also rebuts, “Though I am thrilled I don’t let these things go to my head. I am sure Subhashji knows what he’s doing. He has more knowledge and experience than me, and I respect and follow his vision blindly. The picture of mine used in the hoarding is a particular favorite of almost everyone in the unit. It was also the same picture that Salman loved so much that he wanted to paint it. It’s a very special picture.”
