Multi starrer Golmaal returns has grossed over $10 million at the box office worldwide within five days of its release.

In UK, it earned a place in the Top Ten chart. sharing rank with Hollywood biggies as ‘Quantum of Solace’, ‘High Street Musical 3′ and ‘Mamma Mia’, a spokesman of the Indian Films said today.

Indian Film Company, the Bollywood investment company, which has a market cap of about £15 million, holds the “worldwide exploitation rights” to Golmaal Returns, a follow-up to the hit film Golmaal: Fun Unlimited.

“On Golmaal Returns, we hit our number right on for the weekend. It was what we anticipated,” said Sandeep Bhargava, CEO of the advisory to Indian Films..

The film was released in 1,050 locations worldwide on October 29.

At the Indian box office, the film grossed about Rs 45 crore, the biggest five-day opening weekend ever. It performed well in Pakistan and the Middle East market as well.

Ghajini – the Indian Film Company’s next release, starring Aamir Khan – is due out in time for Christmas.
