Rahul Bose is struck by the similarity between Soha Ali Khan and her mother Sharmila Tagore.

“Soha is a great actress like her mom Sharmila ji. I guess the acting genes have been transmitted very well. There are so many daughters in Bollywood who are not even a patch on their mothers’ acting or beauty. But Soha Ali Khan is a great actress and I guess she just needs the right film,” says Rahul.

Rahul is usually media shy and opens up only at a movie release. He was speaking at the winding up of new film Dil Kabaddi which stars him and Soha Ali Khan along with Konkona Sen Sharma and Irrfan Khan.

So according to him, what are the similarities between Soha and her mummy? “I think Soha is as beautiful as her mother. I remember one scene of Mumbai Meri Jaan where Soha is crying and she cries exactly like her mom,” quips the actor.

Praising Soha he adds, “In Dil Kabaddi you will see Soha’s comic timing”.

Rahul is also singing praises for Konkona Sen Sharma. “Konkona is a fabulous actress and she is here because of her acting prowess, not because of her size zero figure or face,” says Rahul Bose.

Dil Kabaddi is a romantic comedy revolving around married couple Soha and Irrfan and how a gym trainer becomes the other woman in Irrfan’s life. Rahul and Konkona play a couple who help Soha get her husband back.
