Avoid Sex, tells YouTube
YouTube, the most popular online site of video storage, has lastly found sex as less productive; at least it seems to be! The site sees hundreds of thousands of hits everyday, mostly from teenagers seeking sexually explicit videos. After its launch by Google to provide seamless videos, the site soon became highly demanding by the youngsters searching exciting videos!
Setting a new definition to the sexually explicit videos, the site has described that any image that uses revealing clothes should be treated as “mature” content and will henceforth be tagged as “sexually suggestive”. According to the revised sex policy adopted by YouTube, the site has offered hosting of real-sex acts or arousing contents under the restricted-age groups. This will be implemented with immediate effects.
Main highlight of the new sex-policy of YouTube is that the site will henceforth limit accepting arousal images. Of course, if it is a scientific, documentary, or artistic film, it will continue to be accepted.
While the company is all set to discourage creating and watching nudity online, it is calling people to join them enriching music stores. In a major revamp, the YouTube is now connecting musicians over the Internet. They have requested all able musicians from world over to send them tapes containing Internet Symphony along with another piece chosen by them. If you win the race, you will be given a chance to work with Tan Dun and Michael Tilson Thomas, a great Chinese composer and San Francisco Symphony conductor respectively.
With the new move, the site will now be more acceptable to wider viewers; and advertisers will also find the site as potential revenue generator, said an Internet analyst. Responding to the emerging market needs, YouTube was long due to initiate such drastic step and they have done it at appropriate time, he added.
