Police solve kidnapping case
Police have claimed to have solved a case of kidnapping and ransom. A young lady called Anita Murari was reported missing from her house in Ambad since 13 March 2008. Later the kidnappers called her family and made a demand of Rs 15 Lakh. The family members lodged a complaint with the Ambad police station.
Senior Inspector Babasaheb Budhwant was assigned the case. The ransom was being demanded from a telephone in Junagad. A police party was dispatched to Junagad and the kidnappers were informed to collect the ransom. After a lot of negotiations the kidnappers decided to accept the amount at a specified place. Two motorcyclists arrived at the appointed place and at the given time the police managed to pounce on them.
After interrogating these youth the other two accomplices and the kidnapped woman were found to be inside a Lodge. Some country made pistols and swords have been recovered form the kidnappers. They had used some drugs to intoxicate the victim before kidnapping her. Three of the kidnappers belong to Junagad and one person is from Nashik.
