Ahmedabad. India lost the second test by a whopping Innings and 90 runs. The result by and large was evident yesterday after the Indian Second Innings collapsed. A valiant 87 bu Saurav Ganguly and 52 by M S Dhoni were too feeble to save the Indian Team from defeat.

South Africa declared at the overnight score of 484. Once in to bat in the second innings Sehwag was the first to fall at 31. The mighty hero of the first test was dismissed cheaply at an individual score of 17. The fall of Rahul Dravid at 64 was ominous.

Except for a 110 runs partnership by Ganguly and Dhoni wickets fell at regular intervals. With India all out at 328 it was all over. South Africa won by an innings and 90 runs with two days to spare.

This can go down in the statistics as one of the most humiliating defeats of the Indian team.
