Army Personnel have been targeted on various occasions while traveling in the train. On another such occasion three jawans traveling by the Guwahati Dadar Express were drugged and robbed by a couple.

It is learnt that three Jawans of the 16 th Battalion had boarded the train at New Jalpaiguri. They were coming on leave to Nashik District. They were given some sweets by a couple in the train compartment. On consumption of these sweets the jawans fell unconscious. All the three Army personnel were robbed of almost Fifty Thousand Rupees.

The three jawans, in an unconscious state were admitted in the hospital at Manmad. Two of them have regained consciousness. One jawan is still in an unconscious state. Service personnel are advised to be more cautious while traveling on leave.
