by 8 wickets in the third and the final test. With this, India has leveled the series at 1-1. Thus the series came to a happy ending after the humiliating defeat at Ahmedabad.

South Africa batting in their second innings was bowled out for a paltry 121. India needed 62 runs to win the match. Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag made 10 and 22 runs. Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid drove the team to an emphatic victory remaining unbeaten on individual scores of 13 and 18 respectively.

Sourav Ganguly was the Man of the Match and Harbhajan Singh was the man of the series.
