Shah Rukh Khan all set for April 18th

Shahrukh Khan is gearing up for the start of the IPL matches slated to start in Bangalore on April 18th.

He has not left any stone unturned in promoting his team the Kolkata KnightRiders.

One scheme even involves a jewellery brand sponsoring a 6 kg Gold helmet for the Man of the match and another tiny helmet with 1,500 encrusted diamonds which will be auctioned for charity.

Shahrukh Khan is even crooning a full number for the promotional video of the team. The man who has got the superstar sing to his tunes is none other than Disco-King Bappi Lahiri.

According to an excited Bappi Da,” Yes, it was a great pleasure recording a number with Shahrukh Khan. He is truly the Baadshah of Bollywood. We recorded this song called Run Just Run which talks about running ahead in life and not just on the cricket field. Whatever has happened earlier is a thing of the past…so just keep moving ahead and do not look back is what the song is trying to convey. This is the first time Shah Rukh has sung a hip-hop number. He has not just hummed a few lines here and there but has sung the whole sung along with backing vocals”.

But Shahrukh khan is a bundle of nerves. Ahead of the IPL matches. Asked if he is worried, he quipped, “ I have put in so much money, obviously I will worry.” .Then on a philosophical note, “You just have to give your best”

He had in fact a sore point with the West Bengal government which demanded entertainment tax for a 10-minute entertainment show he planned at the Calcutta match. He refused saying that it would drive up ticket prices.

Asked whether a box office release or a knight rider, which is tougher, he said,” I normally know where my film is going to head but in this case I don’t. On the 18th of April it will head one way and on the 20th it may head the other way and it is only at the end of the tournament that we will know where it is finally heading.”
