Knight riders team in controversy
The Knight Riders team owned by Shah Rukh khan
may have started its journey in the IPL in a smooth manner but not everybody is pleased with the star and its team. It has ruffled the feathers of the KMC or Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
According to the views expressed by the Corporation, Red Chilli Entertainment, owned by the star owes around Rs 22 lakh to the corporation for the banners and ads that was put around Eden for its match. The date for the payment was April 19. The match was played between the Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders. The finance minister of the state exempted Shah Rukh from doling out the entertainment tax but it seems that the Corporation is not in a relenting mood.
Faiyaz Ahmed Khan, the KMC member has expressed his displeasure over the matter and has indicated at legal proceeding in cases of non payment of the dues. The Knight Rider’s Kolkata office has decided to stay mum on the issue.
