Aamir Khan injured on sets of Ghajini
Seasoned actor Aamir Khan has been injured on the sets of his upcoming movie Ghajini, the remake of a Tamil film of the same mane being shot in Hyderabad.
Aamir khan ruptured a hamstring muscle while performing a difficult stunt of throwing a heavy man up in the air. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was attended to by a physiotherapist.
Shooting for the film was stalled indefinitely.
Aamir had been shooting for the stunt screen in Ghajini for last eight days under the guidance of Hollywood action director, Peter Hines.
Director AR Murugudoss said, “The incident took place in the morning. He was shooting a hand-to-hand combat action. He has torn his hamstring muscle and is under medical observation. He will not be able to shoot for an indefinite period of time.”
Aamir Khan has been shooting double shifts to complete the 40 day schedule of the film so that he could return to Mumbai to focus on the post-production of his home production Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa .
In Ghagini, he stars along with Asin and Jiyah Khan. Ghajni is a remake of a Tamil film, which in turn is inspired from a Hollywood film, Memento . The film is budgeted at about Rs 50 crore and has been sold at price of Rs 95 crore .
Aamir has been admitted to a city hospital and his wife Kiran has reached Hyderabad to be by his side.
