Senior and Junior Bachchans are set to star with Vidya Balan in R Balkrishnan’s(Balki’s) next venture, titled ‘Pa’.

Pa is about father son relationship to be portrayed by Amithabh Bachchan and Abhishekh Bachchan.

Balki had earlier directed Amithabh in the delectable comedy, Cheeni Kum with Amithabh romancing the ravishing Tabu.

This time Balki did not choose Tabu as a leading lady.

This is because Amithabh does not have any actress pitted against him and Vidya Balan was chosen to pair opposite Abhishekh.

Abhishekh has been on the lookout for new leading ladies after Rani Mukerjee, Priety Zinta and Priyanka Chopra. The Bachchans were quite impressed by Vidya Balan whom they likened to Waheeda Rehman.

Her scintillating performances in Parineeta and Eklavya (costarring Amithabh) had them smitten.

Besides, Balki was friendly with Vidya’s sister Priya who worked together in the ad agency, Lintas.

The movie will go on floors this September and it will be a joint production between Big B’s ABCL, which is heard, to be revived and MAD films, which produced ‘Cheeni Kum’ last year.
